MIND THE GAP

What is it? 

Mind the Gap is a 6-week practical video and discussion-based road map which will guide us in how to make the shifts required to “mind the gap” between church and society.  These gaps have been produced by caricatures, culture, and bad communication. We will learn how every Christian can play his or her part in connecting people with the message of Jesus.

What will the topics include? 

Week 1:  The Big Picture – Making outreach a natural part of church life.

Week 2:  But I’m just an ordinary Christian – Everyone has a vital part to play.

Week 3:  Great Expectations – Putting on effective, cringe-free events and courses for seekers.

Week 4:  Will anyone turn up? – Inviting the right person to the right event in the right way.

Week 5:  I don’t have all the answers! – Discussing faith with practically anyone.

Week 6:  Who will we leave out? – Reaching your whole community.

The Alpha Course—a thoughtful and practical introduction to the Christian faith; especially helpful for non-churchgoers and new Christians. Next class begins Sunday, March 5, 2006 in the Corner House.
